Everyone between 16 and 67 years old must purchase a fishing license. The Norwegian National Fishing Fee (fiskeravgift) is not required. Before purchasing the license all fishing equipment must be disinfected, and a certificate proving this must be presented. Licenses are available as well as 3 days, a week or an year. Licenses are available at Skoganvarre or with a credit card on the Internet.
Each of the salmon rivers in Finnmark have their own fishing regulations. Salmon licenses, which are available at Skoganvarre, are ONLY applicable in the River Lakselva.
When fishing salmon, everyone over 16 years old must pay the Norwegian National Fishing Fee (fiskeravgift), and purchase a fishing license for the river in question. Regulations concerning the disinfecting the fishing equipment are the same as with inlandfishing.
