

Inland fishing means fishing all other species except salmon (trout, arctic charr, grayling etc.). Tourists can purchase a so-called "Finnmark - license", which covers ca. 96% of land in Finnmark. This license is valid for the whole area. Private property is usually designated by signs.
Some lakes are administered by local people or organisations. Fishing with rods and hand lines are permitted in all but 3 of these lakes, where the local administrator sells their own fishing licenses.
Notice that disinfecting your fishing equipment is precondition for acquiring the license. We want to keep our rivers clean of the salmon parasite ( Gyrodactulys Salaris), and this requires your co-operation. You can get your equipment disinfected in Skoganvarre Turist & Camping.
There are plenty of places to fish the fish of your choice all around Skoganvarre:
Lake Savngujavri and river Savngujohka are located about 9 kilometers south
from Skoganvarre. Also the highlands between Skoganvarre and Karasjoki offer
a versatile area for fishing with its numerous lakes and streams.

NOTE! Purchasing the inlandfishing - license is not required, if you are under 16 years old, or over 67 years old. When using this license, you do not need to pay the Norwegian National Fishing Fee (fiskeravgift).

your credit card (Visa or Master Card). The licenses are available as well
as 3 days, a week or an year.
Remember to get a certificate for the disinfecting your fishing equipment,
and keep it with you at all times when fishing, as well as proof of your
identity.
