Skoganvarre is an excellent base for salmon fishing in the area. Skoganvarre Turist & Camping is located on the border of fishing zones 4 and 5. We are able to provide all necessary fishing licenses and Norwegian National Fishing Fees. You can also get your equipment disinfected with us. Notice that disinfecting your fishing equipment is precondition for acquiring the fishing license. We want to keep our rivers clean of the salmon parasite Gyrodactulys Salaris, and this requires your co-operation.

Large salmon in Skoganvarre...
1.7.2008. A large salmon has been caught by fly in Skoganvarre. The lucky
fisherman was Juha Riihelä from Finland and the weight of this salmon was 19,1 kg.

River Lakselva fishing zones and quotas of fishing licenses

The salmon fishing season in River Lakselva is between June 12th and August
31st.
Zone 1 is available for seatrout fishing until September 15th.
Seachar is preserved all the year round.
The fishing day starts at 18.00 o`clock. The River Lakselva is divided for five fishing zones. In addition there is now a new fishing area named Sjøsone (Sea zone). There are also private areas (privat grunn) on the banks of River Lakselva. In those areas fishing is prohibited without a permit of estate owner.

| Zone 2: | 8 fishing licenses/day. |
| Zone 3: | 12 fishing licenses/day. In addition there is 4 dryfly salmon fishing licenses available per day at zone 3. Dryfly salmon fishing license requires to use dryfly, floating line and floating tip, when fishing. |
| Zone 4: | 4 fishing licenses/day. In addition there is 4 dryfly salmon fishing licenses available per day at zone 4. Dryfly salmon fishing license requires to use dryfly, floating line and floating tip, when fishing. |

Zone 5, upstream from Skoganvarre including River Vuolajokka, is a very
good area for grayling fishing.
We hope, that we can preserve those a few female salmon in upper watercourse
of the River Lakselva. It is recommendable to rerelease female salmon caught
in Zone 5 back into the water for breeding.
