Bringing your own snowmobile to Norway is allowed, as long as the vehicle is registered and insured. There are no fees for using the routes, of which several go right past Skoganvarre. The condition of the routes is often not as good as in Finland, and they are not as well marked.
The authorities in Norway are quite strict about sticking to the marked routes, and straying from the path even a little may result in a fine up to NOK 5000. The best way to avoid any trouble is to have an expert guide with you.
